SHA’s Distinguished Alumnae Leaders

Mary Galligan '80

was recently named Special Agent in Charge of Cyber/Special Operations for the FBI’s New York Division – the first female to serve in that position. Her 23-year career includes traveling to Yemen to investigate the U.S.S. Cole attack and heading up the FBI's investigation into the attacks of 9/11, the largest investigation in FBI history. She briefed the FBI's findings to numerous entities of the U.S. government, including the National Security Council and the Senate and House Intelligence Committees. Before being named to her current position, Mary was the Chief Inspector for the FBI. A graduate of Fordham University, she also earned a master’s degree in psychology from the New School for Social Research.

Katie Lapp '74

is the Executive Vice President of Harvard University. As the Chief Ranking Administrative officer at the University, she works in close coordination with both the President and Provost on all business, financial and administrative matters. Prior to this appointment, Katie served as Executive Vice President for Business Operations for the University of California; as Executive Director and CEO for the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority; and as a distinguished attorney serving as New York State Director of Criminal Justice and Commissioner of the Criminal Justice Services Department and previously as New York City’s Criminal Justice Director. She received her B.A. in history from Fairfield University and her Law Degree from Hofstra University.

 

JoAnn Ross '71

is President, Network Sales, at CBS Television Network. In this role since 2002 and with CBS for 18 years, JoAnn is responsible for all sales for CBS Entertainment, Sports, Daytime, News and Late Night and was instrumental in the network’s record-breaking sales performance in 2006 through 2010. Prior to joining CBS, JoAnn was a Senior Account Executive at ABC Television Network. JoAnn was selected as Women in Sports and Entertainment Woman of the Year in 2005. She has been named on Hollywood Reporter’s “100 Most Powerful Women in Entertainment” for the past eight years. JoAnn is a graduate of American University in Washington, D.C.

 

SHA Hall of Fame Inductee

Sacred Heart Academy is proud to name Patricia Haffey Clemency ’69 as 2011 Hall of Fame inductee. Pat is a graduate of Northwestern University, with an M.A. in the dual majors of Radio/TV/ Film and Mass Media Communications, and has a B.A. in Speech from St. Mary’s College in Notre Dame, Indiana. She is the President and CEO of the NY Metro Chapter of Make-a-Wish Foundation, and has been an instrumental member of the SHA Board of Trustees and the Chairperson of the Sacred Heart Strategic Planning Committee for the past five years.
