Winter 2012
Dear Friends of Sacred Heart,
Depending upon which groundhog you believe, we are no more than six weeks away from spring. This is hard to believe, but with midterms just completed, we are in fact halfway through another school year.
Our campus improvements continue, thanks to the extremely mild weather and the generosity of the Nicolia family, whose daughter Grace is a junior. Next time you are on the SHA campus take a look at the beautiful new walkway connecting the Corde House to the new Administrative Offices located in the white house at 80 St. Paul’s.
For me, another harbinger of spring has always been Catholic Schools Week. As this year’s week draws to a close, I am reminded of how thankful I am to all who sacrifice so our girls can receive an exceptional education steeped in the CSJ Charism of Hospitality, Excellence, Accountability, Respect, and Truthfulness, and leave after their four years at SHA as true “Women of Heart”.
Lastly, make sure to mark your calendars for SHA’s most popular event, our Annual Dinner Dance at the Garden City Hotel, which is being held this year on Friday, March 23rd.
There is always much to look forward to at the end of a long winter. Stay warm and look for more news in the spring.
Sincerely,
Sister Jeanne M. Ross, CSJ ‘66
